    HNF Charity Walk 2011

Feeling good-hearted, I attended the HNF Charity Walk 2011 which was held on the 26th November 2011, Saturday, at East Coast Park. You wouldn't believe what time I had to reach there - 7.15 am. Yup, I'm travelling all the way from Woodlands to ECP at so bloody early in the morning, on a bloody weekend, when I'm supposed to be at home sleeping.

But it was all for a good cause.

I reached the area at about 7.10am, and to my amazement, there were already so many people there. I did not expect to see so many participants for the walk. There were so many elderly and youngsters alike. I like the enthusiasm the elderly had, with the hats and walking stick, dressed in sporty attire. It's really amazing the support they gave one another. There were also patients from HNF itself, and some were in wheelchairs. It's so heartwarming to see the smiles on their face while being pushed around. It's just a really nice scene.

I think, in total, there were close to 1000 participants, and we raised about SGD$200,000 for that morning. It was just a 3KM walk, and I know, for someone like me, it's no sweat at all. But for all those elderly, it's really hard for them.

The throngs of people waiting for the event to start. It was started with a welcome message, then a warmup aerobics.

The walk officially started at about 8am. I decided to fall behind so that I can do a bit of brisk walking. It's so hard to brisk walk with so many people strolling in front, beside, and behind you. So I killed 5 minutes of start time, when to the washroom, and started the walk. There was a pitstop after 1.5KM for those who needed a rest, and to take an apple or banana to replenish themselves. There are also various water stops along the way.

And here's a picture of my leg walking. HAHA. And I'm wearing my Adidas Adistar shoes. A bit too comfortable for walking. And yes, I wore jeans. Mainly because it's a walk. No point getting too sporty when I have to later travel across the country to head back home.

All in all, it was a rather exciting event. I never thought I'd enjoy myself at a charity event. I might in future join in with more of these kinds of events. I was planning to join in the Standard Chartered Marathon 2011 on 4th December, but after careful thought, I decided not to. I thought of joining in the 5KM Fun Run, but instead of running/jogging, I'd brisk walk. But nah. There's several options for the marathon - to run the full marathon of 42KM, half marathon of 21KM, a 10KM run, or 5KM Fun Run. The fun run will not be timed, but the rest are all timed. But I decided against it. Imagine having to be at Esplanade at 5am on a Sunday morning.

Anyhow, that's about it. My weekends after that were all rather boring, with me staying at home and lazing in bed.

    Till next time!

Outfit of the Day - 25th November 2011, Friday!

    Outfit of the Day
    (Workday)

Sorry for the crappy photo outcome. The mirror is majorly dusty.

Grey Cardigan - I can't remember where I got this from. It's just a plain drapey cardigan
Blouse - Megagamie's Dotti Embellised Layer Top in Calyson Coral (Collection 80)
Jeans - An old pair of jeans bought from Peninsula Plaza
    Watch - Nixon The Newton

Bag - TianFenLan's Luggage Tote in Lilac Rose
Seriously, the bag is huge! I'm able to fit in so much rubbish inside, and still have got space for more! One of my favorite workbags if I have to lug around tons of papers. Fits A4 perfectly well!

    Not in pictures:
Perfume - Gucci Guilty (I know you can't smell me right now, but I'll just tell in case you wanna know)
Shoes - Agneselle basic flats in grey (really old collection - purchased in 2010)

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. I purchased everything in this post with my own money. All opinions are my own.

"I turn at every corner, hoping that I'll find him. I glance at every man twice, and hoping it's his face I see. I answer calls from private numbers, hoping it's his voice I hear."

Am I going insane? Perhaps I am...

And here I am blogging at work.

I'm very blessed to be left alone at work, and am able to do what I want, whenever I want (as long as I get things done). I'm really glad I don't have people reprimanding me to do things, or getting scolded for slacking off, etc. I still can't believe that this is my job.

    ------------

I've been trying to blog more often, but each time I open up the 'New Post' page, I'm greeted with a blank page, along with a blank mind. I have no idea what to blog about. I haven't been going out much, and even though I promised to blog more about clothes and such, I just haven't got the time. To top it all off, my laptop at home is slowly dying on me. The startup takes forever, and it's running really slowly, with intermittent crashing throughout the entire usage. It has lasted me for 6 years, and I've taken good care of it. And it's definitely time to get it replaced.

The replacement? I'm eyeing on the Alienware M11x. Yes, the gaming laptop. Why? Because I game quite often. I'm only getting it in December, so I'm gonna wait for it, and bear with my current laptop. And no, I will not abuse my AW M11x. I'll try to make it last for as long as it possibly can.

Handphone-wise, my iPhone 3GS (yes, I'm using that old model) is also slowly dying on me. It's been with me for 2 years, through thick and thin, and survived being thrown all over the place. It definitely survived through all the abuse I placed it through. And yes, I finally got around to jailbreaking it a few months back. It's still working, but it lags like crazy. What am I replacing it with? I'm planning to replace it with the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note. I know I'm a pro-iPhone, but if there's no news of iPhone 5 till Feb 2012, I'm going for the Galaxy Note. It's rather large, but what the hell, right? It's like a phone and a tablet had sex and gave birth to the Galaxy Note. (*lame humor, I know*)

Anyhow, I've been controlling my spendings (due to the lack of cash). No more purchasing of shoes online because I finally realized that some sizings are not true to what they describe. That resulted in me not being able to use quite a number of shoes I purchased online because they're too big. I've resorted to buying insoles, and paddings, but of course, they aren't comfortable. So for shoes, I'm buying them off brick-and-mortar shops. I'm looking forward to purchasing more shoes from Pedro, and Steve Madden, and Aldo.

    I guess that's about it.
    I'm just rambling right now.

When I have a more awesome update, I'll update it then.
    Till next time.

I need to have a life...

It has been such a busy week, and the week to come is going to be equally busy.

I'm gonna try try try to blog frequently (even though there's nothing much to blog about since I'm stuck at work 5 days a week, and I hardly head out over the weekends).

I'm gonna put in a little bit more effort into my fashion blog. I've finally sorted out some time in the morning where I can just snap a quick picture of my outfit. I finally managed to squeeze my makeup routine under 15minutes.

    I need a life.
And I need to sort out my expanding collection of clothes and shoes.
I need an organizing system, seriously.
